Training Men and Women in the Will, Work, and Word of God

Birthed out of a youth movement in the 1970's where young people were responding to the call of God on their lives, Christian Training Center (CTC) is in more than 20 countries, with well over 3000 graduates and over 1400 students in more than 70 locations and in no less than 6 languages.  In April of 2019, after nearly 6 years of work, the English version of the ONLINE program became active.  We fully expect that Spanish, French, Macedonian, and Arabic versions will be available in the near future.

In the mid 1970’s Rev. Dick Christensen (“RevC”) a graduate of CTC with an educational background became the Academic Dean and began to expand the CTC program.  He directed the CTC program while at Calvary Temple and later at Countryside Christian Center in Clearwater, Florida.  In 1998 RevC responded to God’s call to further expand the material and begin training Pastors and Christian leaders worldwide.
The original vision to “Train men and women in the Will, Work, and Word of God,” still holds true today with our cornerstone verse as 2 Timothy 2:15 ("Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.") New Hope's CTC students meet one-on-one throughout their studies with Pastor Nick Panico for guidance, and as a group monthly for fellowship and teaching.

CTC is an Associate Degree program with 68 credits.  In the “online” version students read through the material and take notes, that we hope they will someday use to teach others. They can then use those notes and their Bibles to answer a short quiz at the end of each lesson, and then again on the final exam at the end of each of the 29 subjects.

We are accredited through the Association of Independent Christian Colleges & Seminaries (AICCS).  The tuition for the CTC program is minimal and proceeds are used to cover operational cost, its expansion into other languages, and to help fund new in-class programs worldwide.  The four-semester curriculum can be viewed by clicking the Curriculum Overview link below.  Should you have any additional questions please contact the church office at (727) 789-4673 or RevC at revdc@4securemail.com or (727) 494-7412.
