"How To Get Through Difficult Times" - GUEST The Whitleys | SAT 02-05-22

This weekend we welcome Dr. Paul and Karen Whitley to New Hope! Paul Whitley, known affectionately as Abuelo (Grandfather), is President and Founder of Invading the Darkness, a ministry that has as its purpose to empower leaders through edification, encouragement and equipping. After both Paul and Karen having served as Georgia Representatives for Pioneer Outreach Ministries and Directors for Short Term Missions with World Salt Foundation, They began Invading the Darkness, Inc. in 1988. Since that time, the Whitley's have ministered first throughout Eastern Europe, and now primarily in Latin American countries.

Paul returned from Bolivia and Argentina in the winter of 2019. In September of 2019 Paul contracted COVID-19. He was put coma and on a ventilator. Three days later he had a stroke over a significant part of his brain which paralyzed his right side and affected the speech, language, memory, the right side of each eye as well as his balance. The doctors felt he would have to be on a ventilator in a coma for the rest fo his life, "BUT GOD!”
